The 2015 Indian Premier League is the eight season of the Indian Premier League. The tournament will begin on April 8, 2015 and would conclude on May 24, 2015. A total of 60 Twenty20 matches will be held in the entire tournament. The entire tournament will be played in multiple cities in India. The final of the tournament will be held on May 24, 2015 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Kolkata Knight Riders are the defending champions.

The auction for the tournament will be held on February 16, 2015 at Bangalore.
Deadline for franchises to prune the orignal list of players has been deferred to February 4, 2015. Franchises have retained 123 players.

Yuvraj Singh, Kevin Pietersen, Dinesh Karthik and Hashim Amla have attracted the highest base price of Rs 20,000,000.

  • Delhi Daredevils carried out a complete overhaul by releasing 13 players. They have a maximum purse available in IPL 2016 with Rs 400,000,000.
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore who released Yuvraj Singh have Rs 210,000,000 in their purse
